The Platform organized a gubernatorial debate that gave four candidates an opportunity to share their plans if elected as Governor of Lagos State.
The candidates of APC, PDP, ADP and AD participated in this debate. The structure of the debate was quite mature with Dr. Victor Oladokun as moderator.
Questions ranged from access to health, infrastructure development, taxation, technology and other issues. All candidates provided answers based on their understanding.
The opposition candidates used various opportunities to indirectly speak against the influence of an individual over the affairs of the State and in some cases mentioned a company Alphabeta as a means of siphoning the public funds.
In my opinion, the candidate of ADP, Babatunde Gbadamosi put out his best foot by answering questions intelligently and practically.
When asked if they will seek re-election if they failed to keep their promises, they all agreed not to seek another term if they do not deliver on their promises.
