Sports are recreational activities which enable people have fun and enjoy themselves. It is also a tool use in promoting peace and development. It influences the political, economic and cultural segments of a country.
Today marks the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace which aims to drive social change, community development and to Foster peace and understanding.
In every community, one will notice that people participate in various sporting activities like; football, cricket, baseball, basketball, table-tennis, track events and more. These sporting activities are not discriminatory as anyone can partake, regardless of their age, gender, religion, race and so on.
