It’s going to be a showdown when the super Eagles of Nigeria lock horns with the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in the return leg of the African qualifiers on the 18th of November. Coach Gernet Rohrs has got his boys ready. Stuart Baxter has started some mind games by saying they are not the favourites for this encounter but they won’t lose against the Eagles. Both teams need to win this one because it will determine who comes out top of the group. The eagle’s lead with 9 points followed closely by the South Africans with 8 points.

The South Africans defeated the eagle’s at home at the Godswill Akpabio stadium 2 nil and pressure is on the eagles to take a revenge on the bafana bafana. The list of 23 players released by Gernot Rohr includes:

Notable absentees from the list are eagles captain Mikel Obi and ogenyi onazi,reasons are due
to injuries, also affected is 1st choice Goalkeeper Francis Uzoho, Leicester city defensive midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is ruled out due to suspension.
