Today we will begin our series titled ‘Ten Days UpNorth’. As a child I was very attracted to storytelling and culture because both were intertwined for me. I had elderly people around me who could tell stories about the tortoise, rabbit, a king, etc.
I was one of those kids who would do anything to ensure I did not miss Tales By Moonlight on NTA. I guess what I’m trying to say, is I’ve always wanted to tell stories and now I have the opportunity to do so with my camera.
I have always dreamt of traveling across Nigeria and the whole of Africa with my camera to create stories that the world needs to see. Now, I have the opportunity, so I’m making the most of it.
Join me on this journey as I share my experience UpNorth with you.
It’s important that you like, share and comment as I share so I know you are interested in seeing more. Deal?
The first place I had to visit in Sokoto was the tomb of Usman Dan Fodio. You can’t visit this State and not notice how important he is to the people. I couldn’t enter because I am female, but I was able to get this.
