President Muhammadu Buhari sent his goodwill and prayers to Alhaji Umar Farouk, the Emir of Daura.
The Emir of the President’s hometown was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre on Tuesday night with symptoms of COVID—19.
Malam Garba Shehu, The President’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, confirmed this in a statement in Abuja.
President Buhari, who holds the traditional title of “Bayajidda” Daura, his hometown, said: ”I received the news of the Emir’s sudden illness with concern and expressed best wishes for the speedy recovery of the monarch.”
“I join the Daura Emirate and the entire people of Katsina State in praying for the recovery of our humble and dedicated Emir, Alhaji Umar Farouk Umar.”
Garba Shehu, said in a statement that the President was satisfied with the progress of the Emir Of Daura treatment so far.
