The government of Kwara State demolished Saraki’s family house at Ile Arugbo on January 2nd. They asserted that there was no legal proof for the purchase of the land occupied in Illorin, the Kwara State Capital.
Bukola Saraki, however had repudiated the claim saying the land was legally acquired and a right of occupancy was issued.
The Director General on the bureau of lands had earlier stated that there was no record to show that the late Olusola Saraki paid for the land.
The building was demolished after security operatives had disperse loyalist who kept wake to kick against such act.
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the State Governor, had earlier decided to revoke the late Olusola Saraki’s property owing to alleged illegality in its acquisition.
The former senate president, Bukola Saraki has appreciated the sincere support of all who protested against such actions.
