The European Union has agreed to the current Brexit Deal presented a few weeks ago.
Theresa May, UK’s Prime Minister has described the deal as the best Brexit deal the United Kingdom will get. “A deal for a brighter future. Today marks culmination of difficult negotiations. No hard border between Ireland and Northern Ireland.”
Although she faces opposition from her own party and other stakeholders, Theresa May has succeeded in keeping her focus on moving on to meet the 29 March 2019 divorce date.
Key leaders in the EU have responded in different statements. German Chancellor said “I feel sad, but also relieved.”
The French President says “This shows that our European Union has a certain fragility.”
European Counsel President Tusk, “We will remain friends until the end of days.”
PM May has shown strong character, tenacity and grit through the process. I hope she is able to convince her parliament and the people and get their approval.
