Karl Lagerfeld, the creative director at Chanel and fashion icon has died at 85 with over three decades in the fashion industry.
Sources close to Chanel say Karl has been unwell for some weeks. This must have been the reason for his absence at Chanel’s haute couture in Paris this January.
He was best known for his signature outfit: a black suit with his white hair pushed into a ponytail, fingerless gloves and dark glasses.
Many fans of Karl and the brand Chanel are already interested in who will succeed him.
