The British Prime Minister, Theresa May addressed the House of Commons on Monday afternoon.
This was aimed at convincing parliament to approve the Brexit deal endorsed by the European Union member States on Saturday.
In her statement, PM May stated that “Brexit deal delivers for UK. There is no better deal that the one on the table. No one knows what will happen if we do not approve this deal.”
In response Jeremy Corbyn, British Labour Party Leader opposed Theresa May’s position stating “Britain will be worse off with PM’s Brexit Deal.”
He made a case for his position to oppose the current deal stating that Britain will not be in total control of borders, money and laws.
He opined that the PM may have succeeded in getting the approval of the 27 EU member States but has not done same with the people of the United Kingdom.
After his presentation, PM May responded to the points raised by the opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn.
The fact that the opposition leaders have not provided an alternative deal the current one is likely to get approved.
