This episode explores the impact of pressure in our lives and how contentment helps us manage the unending pressure we encounter from other people who we feel have what we don’t currently have.
A young woman explains contentment as a place that helps an individual to be unbothered about things he/she do not have or cannot afford. She further explained the battles and challenges people silently go through but do not talk about it. Sometimes, the personal challenges we go through might not be resolved with money which indicates that money is not a solution to every problem. This points to the importance of contentment because it helps us to be satisfied with our present position, financial status and other things related to being successful. However, we should not accept mediocrity in place of contentment but we should deal with our individual challenges and strive towards achieving our life goals.
A young man explains that having what we need comes with time. Being satisfied with what we currently have helps us thrive for a good life in the future. He highlights time and consistent hard work as principles to achieving our personal life goals.
Another young lady shares tips on how to live a healthy life as an individual with sickle cell anemia. Some of these tips include a healthy diet which helps improve our character. Young people either with or without health challenges should try to indentify when they are getting support from other people so they don’t push them away. It is important to identify support from others in order to avoid running them down or push them away because we need that support to stay strong. Lack of support would make an individual withdraw completely from other people. One of the ways to get support is from friends that understand us and we understand them too.
She explained the importance of talking to the right people as it helps us unburden our challenges. However, when seeking help, we should know who we share our problems with to avoid getting pitied without getting any help.
Another way to overcome challenges is to search for the inner self and strength we need to survive that phase.
This episode gives insight to the impact of people we hang out with and what we are exposed to. As young people, the friends we keep, the things we do definitely have an impact either positive or negative in our lives. There is so much to achieve while we are still young. We can change our belief system by what we watch and read because information is a powerful tool that could transform our belief system.
