On Friday June 28 a video interview with Busola Dakolo by YNaija TV was released for public viewing; it was not an ordinary, everyday interview, it was a story strong enough to command the attention of everyone who saw it or heard of it.
Busola Dakolo shared her experience of being raped by Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, the Senior Pastor of COZA. This comes after several attempts by Timi Dakolo to bring the alleged misconduct of said pastor to the fore on social media; is posts were usually met with calls for evidence.
In her interview, Busola narrates how she was allegedly raped twice by a then young minister who was leading a youth club that later became a church in Ilorin and how she and her family were coerced into silence to save the pastor’s name and that of the church. This is not the first time such information about this pastor and his alleged misbehavior has been made public, but it is the first time Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo has responded.
In his statement he claims nothing of such happened and this is a ploy to denigrate his image and that of the church. He went on to say his lawyers will respond appropriately with a suit and the matter will go to court.
From all indications, both parties have decided to handle this matter the right way, which is through a court process.
